The Challenge

The client presented us with a unique challenge: despite previous SEO providers reporting successful performance and top rankings, they were experiencing zero sales in their target market, the USA. Our key goal was to improve their positions and generate actual orders.

Main Challenges We Faced:

  • High Competition: Most competitors are already ranked top with aged domains.

  • Organic Shopping Results: U.S. e-commerce search results heavily favor shopping filters and product cards above classic blue links, pushing organic listings to the second or third scroll.

  • AI-Generated Content: Product descriptions were of low quality and lacked editing and proofreading.

  • Duplicate Content: Many product descriptions were duplicated from the client’s Etsy store.

  • Weak Backlink Profile: Nearly all backlinks were image links from the client’s site, with few quality external links.

Phase 1: Discovery

We began with a comprehensive audit of the current state:

  • Performed a technical SEO audit, fixing Shopify-specific issues based on best practices.

  • Analyzed and disavowed low-quality backlinks.

  • Conducted a niche and competitor analysis, identifying quick growth opportunities and competitor strengths.

  • Audited the Google Merchant Center, highlighting areas needing improvement.

  • Performed keyword research and clustering based on intent.

  • Fine-tuned analytics systems.

Phase 2: On-Page Optimization

After completing the audit and preparation, we implemented:

  • Updated metadata for all pages based on target semantics and competitive analysis.

  • Expanded the site structure to align with semantic opportunities and the available product range.

  • Addressed category cannibalization issues caused by previous SEO work.

  • Optimized category pages by rewriting content, adding CTAs, embedding videos, and incorporating customer reviews.

  • Started optimizing product pages (ongoing): rewrote descriptions, added practical details, and developed an automated AI template that generates high-quality descriptions.

  • Enhanced EEAT factors (reviews, return policy, About Us, etc.).

  • Audited the blog, identified non-performing pages with no search value, and recommended their removal.

  • Improved Google Merchant Center feed setup and profile completion.

  • Executed Local SEO efforts via ongoing work on the Google Business Profile and targeted local keywords.

Phase 3: Off-Page Optimization

After stabilizing on-page SEO, we moved on to building authority:

  • Analyzed competitor backlink profiles.

  • Developed a 3-month initial link-building strategy based on priority areas.

  • Created a content strategy for outreach to high-quality donor websites.

  • Published guest posts only on trusted, authoritative sites.

  • As traffic increased, organic backlinks grew, and we began conducting regular audits to disavow spammy links.

Phase 4: Ongoing SEO Processes

To maintain and build on success, we continue:

  • Content work: ongoing optimization of categories and product pages, performance analysis, and expanding structure where needed.

  • Local SEO: monitoring local presence, managing the profile, responding to reviews, and tracking changes.

  • Google Merchant Center: monitoring, hypothesis testing, analyzing performance, and identifying growth opportunities.

Results After 6 Months

After working with the Google Merchant Center data feed, the number of organic shopping conversions has also increased. However, this is only the beginning—we have identified potential growth points and are now implementing them.  

Business Results Summary

Over the latest 3-month period (Dec 11, 2024 – Mar 10, 2025), we achieved substantial growth across key SEO performance indicators that directly contributed to the client's business outcomes:

1. Significant Revenue Growth

  • Organic revenue increased by 79,98%

  • This growth reflects not just higher traffic, but more qualified and converting visitors.

2. Strong Growth in User Engagement and Key Events

  • Key events from organic sessions grew by 210.36%, indicating improved website UX and conversion intent.

  • Engaged sessions increased by 17.96%, indicating higher-quality traffic and more effective content targeting.

3. Robust SEO Visibility Gains

  • Total clicks (Google Search Console) doubled, from 3.46K to 7.32K, over 6 months.

  • Impressions almost tripled, from 264K to 723K, proving that more users are discovering the brand through organic search.

  • Organic keyword rankings improved significantly, with noticeable growth in positions #1–10, indicating stronger authority in search results.

4. Shopping Free Listings Performance

  • Sessions from Shopping Free Listings increased by 47.7%, with a 233.63% rise in key events, adding an extra conversion channel at no additional ad cost.

These results demonstrate that our SEO efforts are not only driving more traffic but are directly accelerating revenue, increasing conversions, and expanding the brand's digital footprint. The consistent upward trend across both GA4 and GSC confirms long-term scalability and sustainable growth.
