Project Overview:

About the Client: An importer of electric vehicles from China, the USA, and Europe.
Industry: Electric vehicle sales in Ukraine
Services Provided: Website SEO optimization, SEO audit, and link building
Campaign Duration: February 2024 – present
Target Region: Ukraine
Target Language: Ukrainian

Initial Conditions:

  • New Domain: When the project began, the site had no history or authority in search engines.

  • In Development: The site was still under construction initially, allowing us to implement SEO recommendations during its creation.

Objectives:

  • Assist with building the website from scratch

  • Drive relevant organic traffic and increase visibility in search results

  • Achieve top rankings for high-priority keywords

  • Boost website conversions through Google organic search

Key Challenges:

  • A niche market with limited geo-targeting (initially importing cars from a single country)

  • Limited inventory of vehicles already in Ukraine

  • A dominant competitor with a strong market presence

  • Frequent changes in website content, structure, and design

  • Content added without adhering to SEO recommendations

Actions Taken That Led to Positive Results:

Phase I: SEO Recommendations & Technical Audit of the Staging Site

  1. SEO Guidelines for Development
We provided SEO recommendations for the site’s structure and content and a technical audit of the work-in-progress site.

A technically sound website aligned with modern SEO standards is the foundation for successful organic growth. While the design and technical pages were in place, the site contained numerous critical and standard errors. We advised finalizing all pages per our SEO recommendations before performing a full technical audit and addressing any remaining issues.

Issues identified and resolved in the audit included:

  • Pages with 3xx response codes

  • Missing content

  • Lack of structured data (schema markup)

  • Unoptimized URLs

  • Poor desktop layout

  • Mobile responsiveness issues

  • JavaScript rendering problems

  • And more

  1. Market, Competitor, and Website Structure Analysis
We analyzed the market landscape and key competitors to understand their strategies and website structure. This enabled us to:

  • Build a strategic content plan

  • Identify high-value keywords

  • Uncover opportunities for differentiation and growth

  1. Semantic Keyword Research and Clustering
A thorough semantic analysis formed the core of our SEO strategy. We collected and clustered a wide range of search queries, including:

  • High-, mid-, and low-volume keywords

  • Keywords tied to specific car models

  • Commercial-intent keywords (e.g., “buy,” “order”)

  • Informational queries for blog content

  1. Website Structure Optimization
An effective structure ensures clarity for both users and search engines. Our optimized plan included:

  • Category and subcategory pages

  • Landing pages for specific EV models

  • A blog section for attracting informational traffic (developed in the next phase)

  1. Landing Page Requirements
We developed detailed technical specifications to ensure each landing page aligned with user intent and SEO best practices.

  2. Optimized Meta Tags
Properly structured meta titles and descriptions using relevant keywords improved search engine visibility and organic CTR.

  3. Internal Linking Strategy
We implemented an innovative internal linking structure to enhance crawlability, improve UX, and support keyword rankings.

Phase II: Preparing the Website for Launch

  1. Pre-Launch Technical Audit
We conducted another technical audit before go-live to catch and correct any errors that emerged during development.

  2. Performance Optimization
We improved site speed and mobile responsiveness to meet Google’s performance benchmarks.

  3. Expanded Site Architecture
We added more categories and landing pages to target keywords, fine-tuned URLs, and optimized meta tags.

  4. Launch of Category/Subcategory Pages filled all pages with unique, relevant content and optimized headers, meta descriptions, and internal links.

  5. Link Building Strategy

  • Acquired high-quality links via Collaborator on niche-relevant websites

  • Outreach campaigns for contextual placements on blogs and third-party sites
